THE REAL POWER of now.

THE REAL POWER of now.

What does it mean? “A spiritual awakening.” Most religions talk about death to self, ego and then what? To me in more simple terms, we change. We have old thought patterns that dissolve as we create new thought patterns. And as we change sometimes our old ways suddenly leap up and we get angry about something. Perhaps even more angry than we were when we were first angry about “whatever”.

There is a personality transformation that happens throughout our lives. We are not the same people we were ten years ago. And that is key I think to realising who we are in spirit. People will have strong opinions and then form a collective of other people with similar thoughts and they feel strong in an identity. This can be good but also can be destructive, as Christ said, “Forgive them they "know" not what they do”. I think in these words is key to self discovery. Our existence here is form or matter, transient thoughts and even emotions. We attach ourselves to thoughts about the past and the future, we strive to be what we want to be. We are looking for ourselves. We are looking to have an identity, a place in the world. Be respected find love, and yet if we allow that to define us, we will always be striving for more and more and never be satisfied with what we have. We all think that we will become the person that we want to be, and that everyone judges us where we are now. How many times do you feel that people will only see us when we achieve this or that?

There is nothing wrong with living in the material and wanting to achieve and even attract the “right” people. But if we allow this to define us, either we will always be striving or we will never be satisfied. If we align ourselves to the story of life and it's contents, you will loose at some point. Loss is inevitable, through change and of course death. The key is to align with the “now”. This has been said a million times. But what is the now?

The now is all that there ever is and all that will be. The “future” will be the now tomorrow!! Even in the “now” things happen, time passes. Thoughts and emotion move across our minds in the ticking seconds of the “now”. This of course is an illusion. The actual now is who we are at spirit. It is timeless. You align yourself with the "knowing" that you are a divine spirit connected with God and everything. You are just passing through this experience of life with it's many forms including thought and time.

The result is that you loose fear and desire. You can enjoy the trip of life without the need to strive. You are you already. You don't need anything of form to define you. And define you how? By what other people in a transient time space illusion see you as? It will change tomorrow, but you won't. You are here already in your perfect being. The form is transient. You are already free. The idea that we must move or become or transform to “get” spiritual enlightenment is also illusion. It's good to learn and of course it takes time to peel the masks to see true self and to really feel at peace that you are free now and can just engage with life with no fear or desperation to find the illusory version of self. Become part of the world, not of it. Get a ferrari, but I guarantee you will want a maserati pretty soon after. Stress and anxiety are our beliefs that we are "all" that this life is, and there is nothing more. To enjoy life is knowing that when you truly realise we are spirit, then you also accept or know that God and his angels are with you every step of the way and that you have the power of NOW, which is you, to change the "experience" of this your journey. You are never alone or lost, only in your thoughts. And everyone is on the same ride.
